Adeodatus - De Natura Dei is a fruitful dialogue written in Latin between two characters during a walk toward the mountains. The two interlocutors undertake a long intellectual journey that begins with the origin of knowledge, proceeds through the proofs of the existence of God, and culminates in the Christian mystery of the Cross.
The dialogue draws on classical sources such as Cicero, Virgil, and Quintilian, as well as Christian authors such as Lactantius, Augustine of Hippo, and Thomas Aquinas, extending even to modern philosophy and theology, with references to Isaac Newton, Immanuel Kant, Blaise Pascal, and Simone Weil.
