Artist Judith Moorcroft has never come to terms with the disappearance of her husband, Stephen, in a remote part of Kenya five years previously. His fate remains an unsolved mystery. Since then, Judith has been troubled by guilt over past events and unable to move on. She decides to spend a year on the Scottish island of Arran, where she and her family once spent happy holidays.
Arran brings unexpected romance to the lives of three generations of the Moorcroft family.
