Almost Unloved is a multidimensional memoir that throws you into the dark regions of real-life hardships and trials surrounding sexual and physical abuse, abandonment, and depression. She was born in San Diego as an illegitimate child, believing she was adopted. Abandoned to be raised in a small New England town, through it all, she tried many times to leave, but where could she go at such a young age, and where would that destination take her? Realizing her birth family would never accept her, she was free to make her own decisions. Her daughter was all that mattered, and she would have a better life than her mother. Ultimately, she found enough strength to spread her wings and fly into the unknown to start a new life.
