Dezember 1942 mit achtzehn Jahren am Flecktyphus im Arbeitslager Michailowka am Bug starb, wohin sie mit ihrer Familie und einem Großteil der jüdischen Bevölkerung ihrer Heimatstadt Czernowitz im Zuge der Räumung des Ghettos im Juni 1942 deportiert worden war. Als Dokument für das Verbrechen der Shoa bezeugen diese Gedichte dennoch die Unauslöschlichkeit eines Individuums, sind frühe Werke einer offenkundig zur Dichtung Begabten. Neu ediert nach der Tel Aviver Ausgabe und mit einem ausführlichen Nachwort versehen von Markus May, der das Werk u.a. in den Kontext der Lyrik der Bukowina stellt.
