Naledi was supposed to be writing love stories, not surviving one.

When Mmoloki walked out of her pages and into her real life, she let him in past every caution, every late-night doubt, every echo of her mother's voice warning that some people's sons are not safe.

Now the past has a name: Tumelo.

He arrives smiling like a closed fist, carrying a history that doesn't forgive and a debt that doesn't forget. He isn't here to threaten. He's here to collect. And when he realizes Naledi is the only leverage that truly moves Mmoloki, the romance stops being a romance and becomes a strategy.
