Set at the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Max Yates is let go from his midtown firm employed as a private equity analyst. Having received a generous severance from his former employer, Max is left with nothing but time to reflect on his past and how he got to the current position. This forces Max to reminisce on his first relationship with his college girlfriend Azra, whom he met as a freshman at NYU. With nothing but time on his hands, Max plans a trip to Turkey, Azra's home country, in hopes of finding Azra and finding peace with his fate.
