Digital Flame Photometry

Human body consists of various essential elements such as Na+,Cl-, K+, Li+ to maintain Homeostasis of human body. These elements play a major role in regulating the working and functioning of various organs in the human body. Our Heart and Nerve cells also regulate impulses through the proper conduction of stimulus by the action of these essential elements. Because it functions as a regulatory agency for the action potential conduction in both heart and nerve cells. Basically, the cells maintain sodium, potassium, and chloride for maintaining this stimulation for communication. By understanding the importance of these elements, it is important to analyze the concentration of these ions. Other than the human body, the elemental analysis also done in various fields such as Food and Beverages, Agriculture and Fertilizer industries. So in order to measure the concentration of these metal ions, a chemical analyzer named Digital Flame Photometer has been used. It is also known as Photoelectric Flame Photometer. This device is particularly used to determine the concentration of certain metal ions such as sodium, potassium, calcium, and lithium. In this device, the concentration is expressed as Parts Per Million (PPM).
