Elsa's Christmas Wish

Ten-year-old Elsa Fischer wakes up in a hospital with complete amnesia after a car accident, unable to remember anything about her life, her mother Lena, or even her own name. The only thing that feels familiar is Barnaby, her worn teddy bear with the loose button eye. As Elsa struggles to recognize the house and life that should be hers, she overhears her mother's devastating conversation with Dr. Hoffmann: there will be no Christmas this year due to mounting medical bills and Lena's inability to work. Despite having no conscious memory of why, Elsa feels an overwhelming conviction that Christmas desperately matters-that it holds the key to everything she's lost.
When vivid dreams of Santa Claus and the North Pole begin visiting Elsa each night, she becomes convinced that finding Santa is her only hope of recovering her memories and saving Christmas for her heartbroken mother. Armed with little more than determination, her piggy bank savings, and Barnaby, Elsa makes the impossible decision to run away and journey to the Arctic. Along the way, she finds unexpected allies: Bjorn, a classmate who believes his grandmother's stories about northern magic; Klaus, an elderly toymaker with secrets of his own; and a network of kind strangers who seem to appear exactly when needed. As Elsa travels deeper into the frozen north, passing through the aurora borealis itself, she begins to discover that the journey to find herself may be about more than just recovering what was lost.
