Ausgehend vom ökologischen Imperativ »essbar sein« entwickelt der Autor eine biologische Mystik, in der Geist und Stoff keine Gegensätze bilden, sondern einander durchdringende Qualitäten einer Welt, deren innerstes Begehren es ist, Leben zu schenken.
