Howth is a unique and very attractive part of Dublin, being a sparsely-populated hilly peninsula, with three golf courses, a colourful and busy fishing harbour, a large yachting marina, sandy beaches, exciting cliff walks, numerous pubs and restaurants, and no shortage of sports clubs, churches and schools. The medieval Howth Castle, with glorious rhododendron gardens, surrounded by a public golf course, are other attractions.
