Peter was a sad, troubled boy because of his father's attitude and bad behaviour. As a reaction he rebels in school and goes out of his way to tease and ill-treat younger children. He is kicked out of school after he humiliates Sam who comes from a rich family. When Sam grows older be begins to study law and falls in love with a girl in the same course and who happens to be Peter's sister. Sam's mother shuns her completely because of her family's background.
Peter kien tifel imdejjaq id-dar minħabba l-attitudni u l-imġiba ħażina ta' missieru. Bħala reazzjoni, kien jirribella fl-iskola u jara kif jagħmel biex jinki u anke jaħqar lil tfal iżgħar minnu. Tkeċċa mill-iskola wara li umilja bl-ikrah lil Sam, tifel minn familja sinjura. Meta Sam jikber jibda jistudja għal avukat u jsir iħobb tfajla fl-istess kors li tinzerta tkun oħt Peter. Omm Sam ma tkunx trid taf biha minħabba l-familja tagħha li kellhom ħafna nkwiet mal-missier u li l-omm kienet taħdem bħala seftura.
