You always did feel different from everybody else in Hatherton. Even at school, you were something of a loner, looking at the world differently to everybody else. It was never kept a secret that you were adopted by your parents, a Reverend Amba and his wife - Erith - on the outskirts of town. Even your jet black hair did not match their own respective hazel and blonde colours. You became familiar with the ways of the Church Of Solace, and hated it, yet by the time you reached twelve years old you found yourself carrying out verger duties... and rather well. You have always seen beyond everyone else's eyes. The glowing shapes floating around the graveyard, hearing the odd stray voice from nowhere, and tuning in on things other people could not, all to the point of ridicule and bullying at school from your peers.

In this adult adventure gamebook you take on the role of Malinkar, thirty years or so before the events in The Druids Of Pneuma. Will you be able to rise you power in this fantasy adventure where you play the VILLAIN?
