Why is the management of practice teaching amassing general dissatisfactions especially from student teachers? This piece of work whose target readers are assessors, supervisors, teacher mentors, student teachers, practice teaching programme co-ordinators and other educational practitioners having a stake in practice teaching, attempts to respond to the posed question. The book explores the genesis of practice teaching being a scare to teacher-trainees and a solution to that. 21st century makes maverick management of practice teaching indispensable.Learners populating schools and the generation of teacher-candidates choosing teaching as their career, require a fresh and an outlandish, pattern of practice teaching management. Maverick management reorganises, restructures and re-cultures the classroom ecology.Talismanic practice teaching management emancipates University supervisors and learner-teachers from the master-slave relations. With radical, developmental and transformational practice teaching management in place, subjugation and domestication of teacher-candidates by teacher mentors, teacher colleagues, University assessors and other stakeholders become a taboo.
