Vi sto parlando del BBC micro:bit, un sistema embedded "tutto in uno" per avvicinarsi al mondo dei maker senza troppe difficoltà, per chiunque. Il BBC micro:bit è programmabile con diversi linguaggi messi a disposizione tuttavia, è stato preferito il popolarissimo Python nella sua versione adattata, il MicroPython. Un linguaggio di facile approccio e ben integrato nel contesto hardware, grazie anche all'editor di programmazione Mu finalizzato per essere utilizzato da neofiti. Il libro è strutturato per una lettura in progressione: le fasi di apprendimento non sono casuali, ma organizzate in modo tale che ogni argomento nuovo utilizzi uno precedente. Sono proposti numerosi programmi oltre a pratici esempi corredati di spiegazioni laddove è necessario approfondire il codice del programma. Per i più esperti, è previsto anche un capitolo che descrive come collegare dispositivi esterni attraverso il connettore il quale, corredato di un adattatore, permette di collegare pulsanti e LED.
