Die beiden Hauptanforderungen - Flexibilität in der Datenmodellbenutzung und Offenheit in der Anbindung heterogener Dienstkomponenten - werden durch eine Musterarchitektur auf der Grundlage persistenter polymorpher Konzepte entscheidend unterstützt. Ihre Kernstruktur besteht aus drei Dimensionen, einer funktionalen zur Werkzeugimplementierung, einer operationalen für Persistenz und einer modalen zur Bereitstellung unterschiedlicher Sichten auf Entwurfsobjekte. Die STYLE Systematik, die die Kombination der drei Dimensionen u.a. in dem Einsatz generativer Programmierung auf Metadaten ausnutzt, wird anhand einer prototypischen Entwicklungsumgebung für ein objektorientiertes Datenmodell validiert.
