Return to Basics

President Abraham Lincoln once stated, "Books teach us that our original thoughts aren't so original after all." Or as the writer of the Book of Ecclesiastes remarks several times, much of what we focus on is "meaningless" or that there is "nothing new under the sun". God describes or tells us in His word who He is. We are told, 'You are not a man that You should lie'. Your word assures us that You do not change - that You're the same today as You were yesterday and as You will be tomorrow. This book is written by a layman for laymen. It is written by a prodigal son. This book is primarily for the bride of Christ - the Church - regardless of flavor (denomination).

Is life a continual struggle for you? The happiest people I know have reached the end of themselves. They've given up and given in. They have surrendered. They rest from their own labors and no longer obsess with 'me, my, and mine'. They've replaced their own priorities with God's priorities. Essentially, they've decided to let go and let God.

With God's help and the leading of the Holy Spirit, the words in this book will bless you and the Kingdom of God will be enlarged. To God be all honor and glory for He alone is worthy of our praise.

"God, being God, we had a guest pastor speak at our church. During the altar call, he (who I've never met or spoken to) said my book was about to be published! How did he know of the book God told me to write in 1986? I've spoken to few people of this situation.
