Il peptide penetrante cellulare (CPP) è un'espressione di peptidi principalmente cationici, tipicamente costituiti da una composizione di 5-30 aminoacidi, in grado di penetrare la membrana cellulare. Fondendo molecole che di per sé non hanno la capacità di penetrare la membrana cellulare con il CPP, l'infiltrazione diventa possibile. Il costrutto genico (codificante per TS1-218+CPP) è stato tagliato dal DNA plasmidico purificato (pET 26 b (+)) e collegato al vettore pPICZαA. Questo DNA ricombinato è stato elettroporato in E.coli e, in fasi successive, trasferito a P. pastoris. Per studi futuri sarà interessante trasformare con successo il vettore con il gene nelle cellule di Pichia. Inoltre, l'interesse principale è quello di aumentare la loro produzione di proteine e analizzarne l'effetto sulle cellule tumorali epiteliali.
