Taking his mandated leave was supposed to be a fun trip for Nemesis Inc.'s Alpha Team, recon expert Rory *Mokaccino* Costa. Leave which lasts all of five minutes when a phone call from a teammate sends him to Paris to rescue Adalyn Cassidy and her son, Sam. Changing things up on the fly and living life at a hundred miles an hour is typically his jam. He'll rescue the divorced author and her kid, send them home, and get back to his vacation. A couple of days in the French capital could be fun... right?

It was supposed to be a first author signing for Adalyn's alter ego, Saffron R. Cassidy. She doesn't do people and isn't overly thrilled about crowds, but she'll figure it out as she goes, and hope she doesn't screw up too much. Passing up the opportunity to be the headline signing author in Paris, a signing which could skyrocket her publishing career, would be a stupid move... right? So how did it all go so wrong?
