Sarah thought she'd never love again after her first love mysteriously disappeared. But fate will bring them together again in the most unlikely way.

Up until now, Sarah had never really paid attention to men. She was beautiful, tall and did not lack male attention, but hadn't really been interested in romance at all.

When her family was invited by the Jamesons for dinner, Sarah was excited as she would get to be close to her heartthrob and get to know him more. It was better than she expected and they both fell in love with each other almost immediately.

But destiny would delay their budding romance, forcing them apart for several years.

When Sarah called on the Jamesons to ask about Liam, she received the worst possible news - Liam had gone away and was no longer with the Jamesons. As if that wasn't enough, her own father had auctioned her off to Gustavo, a notorious drug lord after he defaulted on a dirty loan where he lost all his money.

Heartbroken and disillusioned, Sarah put her love life in the back burner and focused on escaping her both her father and Gustavo to start afresh in a new city.

It wasn't until several years later and a few months into her new career as a radiologist at Saint James Hospital would she run into Liam again. But Liam McCauly was now a totally different person, and it wasn't only in the last name. He was a well-known doctor who was also a bit of a stuck-up asshole with an ego big enough to fill a building.

Liam on his part thought Sarah was a bit too naive, optimistic and stubborn. When they had to work together to help an accident patient who might never be able to work again, it seemed like their grievances toward each other will get in the way.

But somewhere deep inside their hearts, they still had a soft for each other. Will they be able to overcome their differences, rekindle their past romance and live happily ever after?
