This is a theological treatise by Peter Lombard, a 12th-century Italian bishop, and theologian. The book is a collection of theological topics whose answers are presented in the form of sentences. It served as a textbook for theologians for centuries and heavily influenced the development of Christian theology. The book is also important for its role in shaping the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas, who wrote a commentary on the 'Sentences'. This book is an essential primary source for the study of medieval theology and the development of Christian doctrine.
