Summa Ghost

Summa Ghost is a science fiction novel set on the planet Summa, home to advanced, intelligent beings made of light and energy. These are ghosts or spirits, composed of subatomic matter. They live, love, and battle in a complex, fully functioning society, deep within the Milky Way. Their world is a preexistence to future worlds as physical humans.

Apollo, our main character, is first introduced as a physical human on a two-mooned planet named Kodiak. But most of his story unfolds on Summa, where he lives as a ghost or spirit in a world torn apart by a civil war over free agency. Some refer to this battle in the pre-existence as a war in heaven.

As a young ghost on Summa, Apollo clashes with classmates determined to dominate through force. This previews the much more serious and far-reaching battles he fights as an adult. Apollo becomes a gifted and powerful warrior, fighting for armies that defend choice and accountability.

Ruthless enemies target Apollo for elimination. He is captured, tortured, held in darkness, and drained of all life force. Apollo becomes lost to himself, his internal essence shattered.

Then, powerful forces intervene. Two ghost wolves are bound to Apollo's soul, helping him recover and reforge. Hardened and battle-scarred, he returns to the fight only to have the woman he loves taken by the enemy. The search for her is desperate. The war continues. Apollo stays strong, as do his friends and the wolves. The victories and heartbreaks continue.

This story is for late-teen and adult readers. It is a tale of war, sacrifice, and power, rooted in deep philosophical questions about agency, identity, and the cost of freedom.
