You are the Commander of the Hell Hounds. An elite four-person mercenary unit hired by the Earth Defence Council to investigate the sudden loss of communication from EDC Astrophysical Research Station 12.

The facility was conducting experimental research far from Earth. Research so classified that even your team was never told what the scientists were studying.

Hours ago, all communication from the station stopped. Docking systems remain active. But no one answers the hails.

Your team boards the silent station expecting a technical failure. What you find instead is something far worse. Abandoned corridors. Destroyed laboratories. Security teams who fought desperately... And lost. Because the scientists on Station 12 were not studying stars.

They were studying gateways.
