The Reset Quest

The story twists our characters through time and locations. There is a mystical and heroic element. You will be led down a distant path in a familiar but foreign land.

Two of our characters begin their quest on a moonlit night. The cold granite slab slid quietly from the Moon Well. As the four winds blew into the Moon Well the two candelas gasped and relinquished their flames. The relic and Barer slowly emerge into a snow-white fog mist illuminated by a full moon. The relic stretched his nearly eight-foot frame and motioned for Barer his enormous dog to do the same. Together they marched into another time and location. Neither of which were they familiar with.
With Madara and their unborn son dying in his arms Papa's dreams were of the future. With endless portals to travel through, he could watch them grow. Time was on Papa's side and as well as he knew it, he wept. Barer nestled beside them licked Madara's hand and comforted Papa. Papa and Madara put their hands on her soft head and stroked her tear-stained face. Madara said one last incantation that only she understood. As the mist of time encircled her, she disappeared into the altar while basking in a pure white glow of moonlight. Papa and Barer wailed at the new moon with such intensity that all the people and animals of Sardinia began to weep.

Life may be a series of chances. Is your fate determined by a roll of the dice, or do you control where and when you will land?

The story is about a pseudo-family of talented individuals. How they came together and why they stay together form the plot. The basis of the story comes from dreams or other remembrances of imaginary events. The characters are all based on real-life imaginary images. The yearning for this story occurred in a waking dream one morning. The dream grew during the day. The events were shall we just say conjured up over an unknown period. Was I just dreaming this or were past lives inventing the characters?
