Trauma: Book I - The Breaking opens the trilogy with the story of a childhood where survival overshadowed innocence. Born in New York and raised in Florida, she grew up in a small house pressed by poverty, where resourcefulness created joy but tragedy struck without warning. Early wounds-family instability, sudden loss, and the silence of unprocessed grief-became the backdrop of her youth.

Adolescence brought new storms: braces, bullies, and glimpses of possibility through music and dance. Then came RJ Hunter-the spark of first love that soon turned to secrecy, betrayal, and heartbreak. Each move, each loss, pushed her further toward isolation until the symbolic "ditch" left her discarded in body and spirit.
