When i started thinking of designing a Kunsthaus in §Innsbruck i had a clear idea about presenting art to §the public, but so far i had no picture of an §architectural language in mind, how to translate my §thoughts in the urban context. My educational §background was characterized by european §architecture. Travelling e.g. Los Angeles and Brazil §gave me a completely new and different understanding §of architecture. Finally i got the picture! A white §box entering through a tiny entrance and exit space §does not help. Either a charming exterior skin does §not solve the situation. The theme of i n s i d e &§o u t s i d e, i n t e r a c t i o n and the t r §a n s i t i o n and f l o w of §space led to a promissing result.
