A ring of high mountains insulates the citizens from the devastation of the outside world. They must contend with the renegades who threaten the caravans that travel through the Valley. Sahra is a traveling medical practitioner with special talents that enable her to sense when trouble is approaching. When her beloved uncle and protector, Jacob, is killed by one of the bandits her talents seem to grow and develop as she fights to help the protectors keep the Valley safe.
