"¿qué es la poesía / y quién la dice / O / ¿quién es la poesía / y qué la dice?" son los primeros versos que leemos en Desdecir. La respuesta a la pregunta de este poema inicial, suelto, preparatorio, es un canto. Y así es, en efecto, como la poesía de Eva Hiernaux se entrega: es una dilución cantada. Esta feliz armonía, este monográfico poético del decir, del eco, de la escucha, del ruido, del verbo, del sonido, no aspira a ovillarse en el entendimiento y supurar reflexiones sino a cantar(nos) ese mantra-fluido interno que se desliza por estos versos como un aguacero. José Ángel Valente se hace eco de esta inmanencia cuando escribe en el poema titulado "Un canto": "Quisiera un canto / que hiciera estallar en cien palabras ciegas / la palabra intocable". Oír ese brío que, despacio, acelera y llama -enciende- al lector.
